Travel Grants

The G-TRAIN project will provide two grants of 500 euros to two Msc or Ph.D students at a European University, who contributed to a paper accepted for the conference and who will attend and present the work at the conference session.

The G-TRAIN project is funded by the EC/EUROPEAN GNSS AGENCY (GSA) under the FP7 (seventh framework programme for research and development), and aims at supporting higher education and training in the field of GNSS. Grants are provided through the Satellite Navigation University Network (SNUN).

Students, authors of an accepted paper and willing to apply, have to provide via email to baerbel.deisting@unibw.de the following documentation:

  • CV
  • A copy of the accepted paper
  • Copy of the notification of acceptance
  • A written and signed declaration that:
    • the student is currently enrolled at a European University (copy of student ID is required or a letter of the supervisor)
    • the student will attend the conference and present the paper

The students will be selected by the SNUN board, based on the quality of the research work, and priority will be given to applicants who have never taken part in an activity sponsored by G-TRAIN or through the SNUN.

The sponsorship is awarded as a partial reimbursement of expenses after the conference.

Students selected to receive the sponsorship are asked to include an acknowledgement in the presentation including the sentence: Attendance to the conference has been partially supported by the G-TRAIN project (funded by the EC/EUROPEAN GNSS AGENCY (GSA) under the FP7, through the Satellite Navigation University Network (SNUN) activities for Ph.Ds (Msc) students
