Camera Ready

Submission through IEEE PDF eXpress

When you have finalized your camera-ready paper, check and submit the final paper at IEEE PDF eXpress. Please note that the pdfXpress website is scheduled to open on May 1. Authors can log in, but papers will not be accepted for validation until May 1. To verify that your manuscript meets the IEEE specifications, register to the IEEE PDF eXpress service, check and upload your paper.

  • - Enter 38087XP to the 'Conference ID' field;
  • - Click 'Create New Title', type the title of your paper into the 'Enter Title Info' text box and click 'Submit PDF for Checking' or 'Submit Source Files for Conversion';
  • - Browse the file and click 'Upload File'. You will receive a confirmation email of the successful upload;

On success, confirm the collection of the paper through the PDF eXpress site, which will collect the compatible files for generating the conference proceedings. If the paper does not pass the check, you will receive a report about your document. At the IEEE PDF eXpress web site, you can see the found errors and suggested corrections in great detail. Revise the document and check again with IEEE PDF eXpress. Iterate if necessary.

Additional documents providing information on creating PDF files compliant with IEEE Xplore can be downloaded here.

Copyright Transfer

Submission through ConfTool

IEEE policy requires that prior to publication, all authors or their employers must transfer to the IEEE in writing any copyright they hold for their individual accepted papers. To do so, our conference has available the electronic copyright form, which can be accessed by corresponding authors (i.e. those who uploaded the manuscript) through our ConfTool submission website. Please log in using your username and password.

Go to 'Your submissions' and search for each of your accepted papers. On the right hand side, click on the link 'Electronic Copyright Form' to access the form that will be submitted to IEEE. Complete the form and click on the submission button. Once the submission has been successfully completed, a copyright icon will be displayed on the entry of that paper within ConfTool.

If you fail to do the copyright transfer electronically, please fill in, scan and email the standard IEEE copyright form to the Publications Chair of the conference. The form can be downloaded here .

Call For Papers

We invite you to submit your original full papers on the most recent results and technology trends in the fields of positioning. Conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. We also invite proposals for special sessions from positioning-related projects.

Call For Special Sessions

ICL-GNSS will host a number of special sessions this year. Each special session will consist of 4-6 presentations to be fit within a single time slot of 1h 30min. At the time of submitting the special session proposal, the session organizer is just required to send the list of presentation titles and the list of authors.

    Once the special session is notified to be accepted, the session organizer can decide whether presentations will have an associated paper or not:
  • - If presentations have associated papers, they will undergo a review process;
  • - By default, a light review process will be carried out for special session papers, just to ensure that the paper format is compliant with the conference requirements, and that the contents are relevant to the conference. In case these papers are accepted, they will be published in the conference proceedings, but not in IEEE Xplore;
  • - Alternatively, the session organizer may decide to have special session papers published in IEEE Xplore. In that case, and upon acceptance of the special session, special session papers will be required to be submitted as a regular paper, and thus undergo the regular review process. In case these papers are accepted, they will be published in the IEEE Xplore;
  • - If presentations have no associated papers, the session organizer will only need to submit the presentation abstracts upon acceptance of the special session.

Contents of special session proposals

  • 1. Special session title;
  • 2. Organizer(s) of the session: name, affiliation, email;
  • 3. List of proposed presentations including title and authors/speakers;

This information must be sent to iclgnss{at} no later than February 15, 2016.

The list of accepted special session will be announced on February 17, 2016. Papers from special sessions will follow the same template and format of regular papers (see resources for authors).

Resources for Authors

Submitted papers must represent original material that is not currently under review in any other conference or journal, and has not been previously published. Papers should have a nominal length of four to six pages in two-column format, A4 paper size, following the IEEE guidelines.

The paper templates and formatting instructions can be downloaded here:

The final camera-ready version of accepted papers will have to go through a conformity check by the IEEE PDF Xpress to comply with the IEEE PDF requirements.
